If our Aunt Helen said "You get what you pay for" once in her long life, she must have said it 1,000 times.  Whenever one of the children’s cheap little toys would break, she'd cluck her tongue and say, "Well, you get what you pay for!"  When my dad got a great deal on a little car and it broke down the same day—coincidentally, while we were bringing Aunt Helen back to her home—she looked up from her knitting and said it again.

She's right, of course.

You do get what you pay for.  Which is why quality is so important in today's highly competitive marketplace.  When there are hundreds of other people doing what you do, you have to do it better.
